Thereafter, the President delayed the October 1st effective date of the tariffs and announced that the administration had “begun preparing” tariffs on manufacturers that do not build in the U.S. or enter into a most-favored-nation drug pricing agreement with the administration. A host of other U.S. tariff actions remain possible, including an additional 25% tariff on products from countries that do business with Iran or Cuba.
