in May 2025, the current U.S. administration published Executive Order 14297, “Delivering Most-Favored-Nation Prescription Drug Pricing to American Patients,” which generally, among other things, directs the federal government to establish and communicate most-favored-nation, or MFN, price targets to pharmaceutical manufacturers to bring prices for U.S. patients in line with comparably developed nations.
