The Trump Administration has aggressively sought to pursue a most favored nation (“MFN”) pricing scheme for prescription drugs. On May 12, 2025, the President signed an Executive Order that directs DHHS to propose a rulemaking plan to impose MFN prices for prescription drugs (absent “significant progress” to lower their cost) and to facilitate direct-to-consumer purchasing programs for manufacturers.
