After sustaining a 0.9% decline in North America sales in the first quarter, U.K.-based Reckitt Benckiser is letting go of 57 people from its office in Nutley, New Jersey, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act alert for the state. The layoffs started this March and will run until March next year.
Also in March, Reckitt trimmed its New Jersey workforce at its Parsippany site, letting go of 62 employees. Those layoffs will be conducted through August.
Reckitt is known for products like the expectorant Mucinex, the lozenge brand Strepsis and the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine Neurofen.
